Director of Regulatory Compliance Jobs

A Director of Regulatory Compliance in the hospitality industry is responsible for ensuring the organization adheres to all legal standards and in-house policies. They hold the duty of enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as providing guidance on compliance matters. This role involves developing and overseeing control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies, evaluating the efficiency of controls, and improving them continuously. They also revise procedures, reports, etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.

Qualifications for a Director of Regulatory Compliance include a deep understanding of the industry and its standards. They should possess a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) certificate and a background in risk management and knowledge of legal requirements and controls. Other important skills include excellent communication abilities, integrity and professional ethics, business acumen partnered with a strategic mindset, and strong leadership and teamwork skills. Prior roles that one may have before becoming a Director of Regulatory Compliance might include Compliance Officer, Compliance Analyst, or Risk Management Specialist.
