FOH Manager Jobs in Connecticut
The Front of House (FOH) Manager in the hospitality industry oversees all operations of the front-end services of a hotel, restaurant, or event center. Their responsibilities often include training and managing staff, maintaining high quality service, ensuring customer satisfaction, handling customer complaints, and coordinating with the Back of House (BOH) team. A FOH manager is also responsible for inventory management, maintaining health and safety standards, and ensuring financial targets are met. Their role is crucial in creating a welcoming and efficient environment for guests.
To excel as a FOH manager, an individual must possess strong leadership and communication skills, have excellent organizational abilities, and be customer-oriented. They should also have a solid understanding of the hospitality industry and be able to use various software used in the industry. A certification in hospitality management can be beneficial but is not always required. Prior experience in the hospitality industry is usually necessary, with roles such as a front desk agent, restaurant supervisor, or assistant manager often being stepping stones towards becoming a FOH Manager.
