The Bankruptcy Division is looking to fill one (1) Tax Program Assistant Administrator position.

What You'll do as a Tax Program Assistant Administrator:

  • Lead teams to deliver clear communication, helpful support, and high-quality service to Ohio taxpayers.
  • Oversee and drive initiatives that streamline workflows and enhance the overall experience for both employees and Ohio taxpayers.
  • Develop and empower employees to collaborate, grow, and consistently deliver excellent results.
  • Provide support to the Administrator;
  • Supervise support staff and the Tax Examiner Manager;
  • Assist in unit work assignments/performance assessment;
  • Review bankruptcy filings and file POCs with the bankruptcy courts;
  • Manage/assist with requests from the AGO related to bankruptcy cases, receiverships/ABCs and OICs;
  • Manage/assist with requests from outside counsel, including trustees, and debtor's attorneys;
  • Assist bankruptcy legal counsel with claims objections, bankruptcy trustee estate filings and other issues as required;
  • Assist in various other areas, as needed.

Undergraduate core program in accounting, business, public administration or related field which included 3 courses in accounting; 42 mos. exp. in accounting, auditing &/or taxation; 24 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques; 12 mos. exp. in customer service.

  • Or graduate core program in accounting, business, public administration or related field which included 3 courses in accounting; 30 mos. exp. in accounting, auditing, &/or taxation; 24 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques; 12 mos. exp. in customer service.
  • OR 18 mos. exp. as a Tax Examiner Manager, 66814.
  • OR 30 mos. exp. as a Tax Examiner Specialist, 66813.
  • OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

For positions performing audits per the approved position description on file, qualifications are established in accordance with O.R.C. 5703.17.

Must provide own transportation unless state vehicle is provided.
