Description

SAIC is seeking a Logistics Manager to support our UMV Lab and TRANSDEC Support program in San Diego, CA. The Logistics Manager will perform the duties below and support the customer team for Navy's Maritime Expeditionary Standoff Response (MESR) program.

This effort provides engineering and technical services to develop underwater systems, and to support Test and Evaluation (T&E) events in a maritime environment for the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific) Unmanned Maritime Vehicles Laboratory (UMV Lab) and the Transducer Evaluation Center (TRANSDEC). This is a Remote role supporting San Diego, CA.

JOB DUTIES:

Overall responsible for daily execution and leadership across multiple Logistics functional areas including but not limited to, Production, Cyber Security and Fleet Support.

The Logistics Manager will be supporting the lifecycle of the MESR effort, including ROV technicians, a Field Trainers, Cyber Security Specialist, Engineers and Customer Fleet Facing support.

Coordinates interdepartmental activity with production, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, Cyber Security and Vendors.

Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.

Works with vendors and original equipment manufacturers to maintain established relationships and establish new ones. Keeping the Program Management team aware of any disruptions or gains in efficiencies and technologies that may impact our product.

Other duties as assigned by the customer.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors and fifteen (15) years or more of related experience; Masters and thirteen (13) years or more experience; PhD or JD and ten (10) years or more experience. Additional years of experience can be accepted in lieu of degree.

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance after start

DESIRED SKILLS:

Experience in managing large teams

Experience working with NIWC Pacific

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
