Job Summary - Dispatch Manger

Work Days: Monday through Friday with rotating weekend support.

Hours: 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Pay: $50K to $70K Depending on Experience

Position Purpose:

The Dispatch Manager will be responsible for the following:

• Booking all loads for CDL drivers through job boards and/or in house.
• Assist with broker communications, driver location and status updates.
• Support the dispatch team along with any other job duties assigned by management.
• Coordinate and oversee the transportation of goods from our in-house distribution center to suppliers and customers, ensuring timely delivery.
• Transportation Management to optimize logistics operations, maintaining all of billing and records.
• Maintain accurate record-keeping, logging all loads carreid.
• Communicate effectively and provide exceptional customer service by demostrating phone excellence and phone etiquette when interacting with brokers, vendors, customers, and internal teams to resolve any issues related to logistics.
• Ensuring all billing packets are 100%, invoicing all approved packets, and sending invoices to brokers.
• Providing driver location and status updates, issuing EFS checks, and communicating with drivers on all aspects of their routes and backhauls.

Skills

• Strong understanding of supply chain principles and logistics operations.
• Proficiency in transportation management systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient typing skills for accurate record-keeping and reporting.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.

Job Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Must be age 21 or over and have a minimum of 3 years' experience.
• Must be willing to be subject to pre-employment screening.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills, the abbility to work well with others.
• General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Docs is preferred.
• Transportation experience preferred.
